New Christian Worldview Class by Michael Burroughs - Monday, August 29, 2011, 03:29 PM

FLOCS has partnered with the Nehemiah Institute to develop an online course on "Education from a Biblical Worldview." It's an excellent course for teachers new to Christian education, especially those whom have received only secular university training. It has 10 lessons, plus the PEERS tests, a worldview assessment taken prior to the course. The course is taught in 12 sessions. FLOCS Facilitator, Jim McKenzie, and instructor, Jim Gilbert present the course material. This course meets the requirement of a Philosophy of Christian Education course needed for teacher certification through the International League of Christian Schools and the Florida League of Christian Schools.

  This course will cover all aspects of the operation of a childcare center. This course meets the requirement of the "Overview of Child Care Management" as defined by the Florida Department of Children and Families, and meets course requirements for the Florida Child Care and Education Program Director Credential.

• Florida Childcare Professional Certificate

  

  The Florida League of Christian Schools provides a state approved FCCPC program which offers training to satisfy the Florida Staff Credential requirements and is approved by the Florida Department of Children and Families. The Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC) Training is a 120-hour program designed to prepare students to honor God as child care workers and teachers with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality Christian childcare programs. The completion of these courses coupled with 480 hours work experience qualifies the student for their FCCPC. This program requires students to attend courses for 12 weeks meeting two weeknights each week, or one Saturday each week, depending on course location. A student completing the FCCPC Training will be able to meet the specific needs of children and work with parents and other adults to nurture spiritual, physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth of children in a child development framework.

  Education From the Biblical Worldview will give Christian educators perspective and insight that will enable them to understand the underlying issues of the worldview conflict in education, and it will arm them with truth to carry on the battle.
